See Your Season Before It Starts: Brand Identity for Trellis AI

Trellis is a predictive analytics platform that helps mid-size farms optimize irrigation, planting cycles, and yield forecasting using satellite imagery and soil sensors. The product is powerful, but the brand was built by engineers. The visual identity leaned on circuit boards, neural networks, and dark UI dashboards. The language was full of terms like "machine learning pipelines" and "predictive modeling." The actual buyers, farm operators and agricultural managers, felt like the product wasn't for them. The brand signaled Silicon Valley when it needed to signal "your farm, working smarter."

Agricultural buyers don't distrust technology. They distrust technology that doesn't understand their world. The opportunity wasn't to simplify the product. It was to rebuild the brand entirely around the language of farming, not the language of AI.

We stripped away every trace of startup visual language. No gradients, no abstract data visualizations, no dark mode dashboards as hero images. Instead, the visual system is rooted in the physical landscape: topographic patterns, a soil-driven color palette (ochre, deep brown, sage, sun-bleached wheat), and photography that shows real land, real crops, real weather. The typography feels sturdy and grounded. Complex data concepts are translated through agricultural metaphors, root systems instead of neural networks, irrigation channels instead of data pipelines. The result is a brand that farm operators recognise as theirs, not something borrowed from a pitch deck in San Francisco.
